The Alternative Press Syndicate (APS) is launching the Guardians of Truth: Shielding Journalists and Reshaping Lebanon’s Media Landscape project to protect journalists and advocate for media freedom. As part of this initiative, we are producing an investigative report on violence against journalists, with a specific focus on the cases of journalists who were brutally targeted and killed by Israel. To bring this investigation to life, we are seeking a Video Producer to create the visual component of the report.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, film, and edit a compelling video format of the investigative report. Conduct interviews with journalists, legal experts, and affected communities.
- Integrate archival footage, field visuals, and supporting evidence to enhance storytelling.
- Ensure the production aligns with ethical reporting and security considerations for journalists.
- Collaborate with APS’s legal and editorial teams to maintain journalistic integrity.
- Deliver a high-quality video investigation for public dissemination and advocacy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience in documentary or investigative video production.
- Strong storytelling and visual journalism skills.
- Experience working on press freedom, human rights, or conflict reporting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with APS’s investigative team.
- Access to professional filming and editing equipment.
- Familiarity with security protocols when documenting sensitive cases.
